Gained fame for hosting BBC News from 2005 to 2011 and Sky Sports News from 2011 to 2014. He also worked for BBC Wales Today and BBC 2W.

He was raised by his parents in Essex and Zimbabwe.

He began hosting Good Morning Britain on ITV Breakfast in April 2014.

His father was English, his mother was born in Zimbabwe, and his wife speaks Welsh.

Journalist Susanna Reid also hosted Good Morning Britain.
