ABOUT SEAN BURROUGHS

Third baseman who made his MLB debut in 2002 with the San Diego Padres and joined the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 2006. He died from cardiac arrest at the young age of 43.

He played in the Little League World Series.

He signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2011. He played on 4 teams throughout his professional career.

His father Jeff Burroughs was an All-Star outfielder and was an MVP in 1974.

Change-up artist Trevor Hoffman was his teammate on the Padres.
