Prior to being drafted, he attended Indiana University .

He made his major league debut pitching on August 29, 2021 as a member of the Cubs.

He is a native of Twinsburg, Ohio.

He is an Indiana Hoosiers alum, just like Isiah Thomas and Eric Gordon .
