ABOUT SARASWATI SAHA

Indian sprinter who set the national 200 meters record of 22.82 seconds; she competed at the 2000 and 2004 Olympics.

She won her first gold medal at the All-India Open National Championships in 2000.

She became the first Indian woman to break the 23-second mark in the 200 meter race.

She married fellow sprinter Amit Saha.

Both she and cricketer Chetan Chauhan won the Arjuna Award for their contributions to Indian sports.
