ABOUT SANTIAGO CASILLA
Hard-throwing fastball-slider reliever who debuted with the Oakland Athletics in 2004. He signed with the San Francisco Giants in 2010 and helped the team win World Series Championships in 2010, 2012 and 2014.
He played baseball at Palenque High School in the Dominican Republic.
He signed with the A's under the name Jairo Garcia, claiming to be three years younger than he actually was.
He grew up in Palenque, Dominican Republic.
He held All-Star outfielder Matt Kemp hitless against him in 2012.
