Former NFL quarterback in the 1960s and '70s who became a coach for over five decades after retirement. He served as head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals from 1984 to 1991 and head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1992 to 1995.
He played in Super Bowl VII with the Washington Redskins as the team lost to the Miami Dolphins 14-7.
He was the first coach to introduce the no-huddle offense in normal situations.
He had two children with his wife Jane.
Quarterback Steve Young defeated his team in Superbowl XXIII.
