Sam Selman

ABOUT SAM SELMAN

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Kansas City Royals during the second round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He was acquired by the Los Angeles Angels via trade on July 30, 2021.

Prior to being drafted, he attended Vanderbilt University . He began his professional career playing for the Royals' rookie affiliate team the AZL Royals.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Philadelphia Phillies on August 1, 2019 as a member of the San Francisco Giants .

He grew up living with his parents, Cynthia and Jack Selman, and his brother Will.

He was high school teammates with Shelby Miller at St. Andrews High School.
