Sam Montembeault

ABOUT SAM MONTEMBEAULT

Professional hockey player and athlete who is recognized for playing the goaltender position for the Montreal Canadiens . He previously played for the Florida Panthers . He stands 6'3" tall and weighs over 220 pounds.

He played junior hockey for the Trois-Rivières Estacades of the QMAAA.

In the year 2016, he was named to Team Canada for the 2016 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. He did not see any play time during the series. On May 11, 2016, Montembeault was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Florida Panthers. He returned for his final junior season in the QMJHL, establishing new career high with 2.40 goals against average and a .907 save percentage.

He was born in Bécancour, Quebec.

Both he and Jake Allen have played for the Montreal Canadiens.
