ABOUT SAM HUFF

Major League back-catcher that was originally drafted by the Texas Rangers during the seventh round of the 2016 MLB Draft. He was selected from Arcadia High School in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

He initially began his career pitching for the AZL Rangers. He was later promoted to the Hickory Crawdads.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Oakland Athletics on September 11, 2020. During his debut, he became the 1,000th player in Rangers' history.

He grew up living with his family in Phoenix, Arizona. His father, Steve, was drafted by the San Francisco Giants during the 1976 MLB Draft.

He was selected during the 2016 MLB Draft just like Mickey Moniak .
