ABOUT S.P. BALASUBRAHMANYAM
Playback singer, television presenter, and actor who is widely recognized for his work in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi language art. During his career he won six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer.
He originally intended to become an engineer and enrolled in courses at JNTU College of Engineering Anantapur.
He made his debut as a playback singer in the film Sri Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna. In 2012, he received the state NTR National Award for his contributions to Indian cinema. He he was honored with the Indian Film Personality of the Year award at the 47th International Film Festival of India.
He passed away in 2020 after spending a month hospitalized with COVID-19.
Both he and fellow performer Shah Rukh Khan were born in India.
