ABOUT RYAN THOMPSON

Right-handed pitcher that was originally drafted by the Houston Astros during the 23rd round of the 2014 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the Tampa Bay Rays during the 2018 Rule 5 Draft.

He initially began his professional career playing for the Tri-City ValleyCats. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Campbell University.

During his free time, he loves to watch movies. In particular, he loves Daniel Craig in Casino Royale .

Growing up, he lived with his family in Salem, Oregon. He is one of two siblings.

He first met Derek Jeter as a child growing up and remembers embarrassing himself.
