ABOUT RYAN NELSEN
MLS coach who debuted in 2013 as a manager for Toronto FC. He managed New Zealand's national team at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
He played college soccer with the Stanford Cardinal during the 1999-2000 season.
He played soccer professionally for five teams from 1995 to 2013.
He married Monica Nelsen in 2006.
In his first game as manager, Toronto FC won 2-1 behind a pair of goals from Robert Earnshaw .
