ABOUT RUSS ABBOT

Stand up comedian who starred in The Russ Abbot Show from 1988 to 1991. He released his album, Songs of Joy, in 1990. He was an actor, appearing in The Sarah Jane Adventures as the character Martin Trueman.

He was the drummer in the band the Black Abbots during the 1960s.

He has also had recurring television roles on Last of the Summer Wine, September Song, and Married for Life. He amassed over 30 different acting roles throughout his long career.

He got married to Patricia Simpson in 1967; the couple has four children: Gary, Richard, Christopher, and Erika.

He acted alongside Elisabeth Sladen in two episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures.
