Rukmini Callimachi
ABOUT RUKMINI CALLIMACHI
Journalist who has become renowned for her reporting on social issues and calamities around the world, including Hurricane Katrina, Islamic extremism and African poverty. She has received such honors as the 2014 Michael Kelly Award and the 2016 Aurora Prize for Integrity in Journalism.
She lived in Romania and Switzerland before moving to the United States, where she attended Dartmouth College . She later earned a Master's degree in linguistics from the University of Oxford .
Prior to her journalism career, she was a poet who earned the Keats-Shelley Prize for Poetry.
She was raised by her mother and grandmother.
She has been a guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers .
