ABOUT RON MASAK
Accomplished stage actor who played the recurring role of Sheriff Mort Metzger on the TV series Murder, She Wrote, and was a major commercial actor. In 1968, he played Paul in the movie Ice Station Zebra. He amassed over 120 on-screen acting credits throughout his long and prolific career.
He made his TV debut in a 1960 episode of the hit show The Twilight Zone.
He was nicknamed The King of Commercials for his voice-over work in the 1980s and early 1990s, including a voice-over for a Vlasic pickles ad. In 1982, he directed a documentary called Ya Gotta Believe.
He married Kay Knebes in 1961 and they had six children together.
He guest starred in an episode of Magnum, P.I., starring Tom Selleck .
