ABOUT RODRIGUES OTTOLENGUI

An American novelist and short story writer, he published works such as Final Proof (short stories) and An Artist in Crime (novel). He also published two non-fiction works detailing his second career as a dentist.

A pioneer in the field of dentistry, he was one of the first dentists to use X-rays.

For over three decades, he was the editor of Items of Interest: A Monthly Magazine of Dental Art, Science, and Literature.

He and his two siblings were born into a family of Sephardic Jewish descent. He married May C. Hall Ottolengui.

He and Cary Middlecoff were both dentists.
