ABOUT RODOLFO CASTRO

Professional infielder that was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates as an international free agent in 2015. On July 28, 2021, he became the first major league player since 1901 to record two home runs for his first career hits.

He began his professional career playing for the Pirates' rookie affiliate team the DSL Pirates.

He made his major league debut playing against the Detroit Tigers on April 21, 2021.

He is a native of Los Llanos, Dominican Republic.

He played alongside Michael Chavis as a member of the Pirates during the 2021 MLB season.
