ABOUT RODNEY RUDE

Famous for his bawdy, off-color comedy act, this Australian stand-up comedian released numerous ARIA award-nominated comedy albums, including Rude Rides Again, Twice as Rude, and More Grunt.

Born Rodney Malcolm Keft in Nowra, New South Wales, he started his comedy career by performing comedic songs with a touring circus company.

During the 1980s, he won a legal battle against obscenity charges that had been levied against him by members of the Queensland police force.

His first marriage resulted in one son. He and his second wife, Pat, became parents to two daughters.

He and Shaun Micallef both had successful comedy careers in Australia.
