ABOUT ROBERT WELLS

American singer, songwriter, and television producer who won six Emmy Awards and was nominated several times for an Academy Award.

He majored in speech and drama at the University of Southern California before serving in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II.

He produced several television shows including The Dinah Shore Chevy Show and the variety show If They Could See Me Now.

He was married to Broadway stage actress Lisa Kirk from 1949 until 1990 and then married Marilyn Wells.

He has collaborated with Duke Ellington .
