ABOUT ROBERT CAMPBELL REEVE
Founder of Reeve Aleutian Airways, one the first airlines to fly regular routes in the northwestern United States.
He read about the Wright Brothers at age seven and became interested in flying.
He flew over Alaska, performing takeoffs and landings in places where adequate runways did not exist.
His mother died when he was two years old, and he and and his twin brother virtually raised themselves after their father remarried several years later.
He, like Howard Hughes , was a notable aviation entrepreneur of the 20th century.
