Robert Dopel

ABOUT ROBERT DOPEL

German nuclear physicist who was in the group "first Uranverein", which was the German effort to produce atomic weapons during World War II. Most of his work was destroyed by air raids towards the end of the war though.

He studied at the University of Leipzig and the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, where he earned his doctorate in 1924.

He was sent to work on the Russian atomic bomb project in 1945.

He married Sinaida Fedorowna Trunowna in 1954.

Another German Physicist like him was Albert Einstein .
