ABOUT RILEY SMITH

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks during the 24th round of the 2016 MLB Draft. He began his professional career playing for the Diamondbacks' single-A affiliate team the Hillsboro Hops.

Prior to being drafted, he attended Louisiana State University where he played collegiate baseball.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Colorado Rockies on August 26, 2020.

He is a native of Lufkin, Texas.

He played college baseball at Louisiana State University, just like Aaron Nola and Alex Bregman .
