American journalist and columnist who is known for his work as a chief Film Critic for Vanity Fair Hollywood Magazine. He is also known for his work as a writer in The Atlantic, Slate, Gawker, and McSweeney's.

He started his career as a writer and journalist for The Atlantic division The Wire. He then joined Vanity Fair in November of 2013 where he started writing daily gossip columns and reviews for television.

He has published several controversial articles and stories about YouTube star Logan Paul .

He was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts but later settled in New York City.

He has reviewed and written articles about a wide range of film stars and directors including Tim Burton , Jordan Peele , and Luke Perry .
