ABOUT RICHARD GADD
Scottish comedian, actor, entertainer, Instagram star, online content creator, social media personality, performer, artist, and producer who is best known for his deadpan humor and comedy-drama Baby Reindeer on Netflix. He has worked on several other film and television projects such as Lions, Code 404, and Sex Education .
He studied at the Oxford School of Drama, and he later performed at the Soho Theatre in London. He won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for his deeply personal 2016 show Monkey See Monkey Do.
He wrote Baby Reindeer about a true story he experienced, and the series earned a perfect score on the Rotten Tomatoes website. He has amassed more than 600,000 followers on Instagram. Gadd is also an actor, starring opposite Daniel Mays in the 2017 BAFTA-nominated BBC Two single drama Against the Law.
His parents both worked in schools while he was growing up. He identifies as bisexual.
