ABOUT RHODE MONTIJO

Illustrator, author, writer, artist, director, and animator known for creating the popular book The Halloween Kid (2010), the comic book series Pablo's Inferno (1999), and for co-creating the animated series Happy Tree Friends (2000-2010).

He studied art and animation at California State University, Long Beach, and graduated in 1996. He initially self-published his work.

He started working on Happy Tree Friends with Kenn Navarro in 1999. He self-published his first comic book Cloud Boy in 2006. He was in a car accident in 2006 which prompted him to pursue writing children's books. He is passionate about Halloween.

He was born and raised in El Centro, California.

He collaborated on Happy Tree Friends with Warren Graff . He has sketched several Muppets characters for charity, which were created by Jim Henson .
