Reuben Abati

ABOUT REUBEN ABATI

Nigerian journalist, television anchor, and politician who is best recognized for having served as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity from 2011 until 2015. He is also known for having served as the chairman of the editorial board for The Guardian newspaper.

He attended the University of Calabar where he was valedictorian. He later earned his PhD from the University of Ibadan. He started his career working with The Guardian and later started serving as a television presenter in the year 2000.

He is known for being an Honorary Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Letters.

He was born and raised in Abeokuta, Nigeria.

He served as Special Adviser of Media and Publicity as well as the Official Spokesperson for then serving President Goodluck Jonathan .
