Former baseball player who became the President of the Houston Astros in May 2013. During his playing days, he pitched for minor league teams like the Charleston RiverDogs and Visalia Oaks.

He was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 1994 MLB Draft but never made it to the majors.

He also owns the minor league teams the Round Rock Express and Corpus Christi Hooks.

His father is legendary pitcher Nolan Ryan .

Like the Chicago White Sox's Jerry Reinsdorf , he has served as the President of a Major League Baseball team.
