ABOUT REGIS PROGRAIS

American professional boxer best known for holding the WBC super lightweight title since 2022, and previously the WBA super lightweight title in 2019. As of November 2023, he is ranked as the world's second-best active super lightweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and BoxRec.

After being forced to relocate in the year 2005 to Houston, Texas because of Hurricane Katrina, he began training at Savannah Boxing Club alongside Evander Holyfield .

As an amateur, he was ranked #4 in the United States. He was the 2009 Ringside World Champion, and 2010 HORN National Champion, won regional Golden Gloves and competed in the 2012 Olympic Trials before turning professional in the year 2012.

He is the son of Vidal and Shelita Martinez Prograis. He has a son named Ray and two daughters named Khalessi and Khalanni.

In 2023, he fought against boxer Devin Haney .
