American guitarist who gained fame as a leading session musician and the lead guitarist of The Memphis Boys. He recorded with such luminaries as Elvis Presley , Jerry Lee Lewis , George Strait , and Merle Haggard .
His father bought him his first guitar in 1949.
He played guitar on over 150 top ten hits.
His father was a guitarist. He married cellist Jenny Lynn Hollowell in 2004.
His first band, Eddie Bond & the Stompers, toured with Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison in the 1950s.
