ABOUT RAM PASWAN
Indian politician known for having served as the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. He is also known for his work as leader of the Lok Janshakti Party.
He attended both Kosi College in Pilkhi and Patna University. He started his career in politics in 1969 when he served as a member of the Bihar State Legislative Assembly. He joined the Janata Party-S in 1975.
He is also known for having served as Minister of Labour and Welfare under Prime Minister Vishwanath Pratap Singh in 1989.
His son is actor and fellow politician Chirag Paswan.
He attended the Mumbai General Elections rally in 2009 alongside Lalu Prasad Yadav and Amar Singh .
