ABOUT RALPH EMERY

Famous during the 1970s for hosting the TV music program Pop! Goes the Country, he later presented Nashville Now on TNN. Also a DJ, he attracted a significant fan base while hosting a country music program on Nashville's WSM radio station.

In the early 1960s, at the start of his entertainment career, Emery released a hit country single titled "Hello Fool."

In his later years, he hosted a cable program called Ralph Emery Live.

He was born and raised in McEwen, Tennessee.

Country singer Tex Ritter was frequently featured on Emery's WSM-Nashville radio program.
