Former professional bantamweight boxer and trainer that was known primarily by his nickname Ratón Macías. He earned his first bantamweight boxing title in March of 1955.
He made his professional boxing debut in Mexico on January 1, 1953.
Prior to becoming a professional, he won a bronze medal at the 1951 Pan American Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina as a teenager.
He was a native of Mexico City, Mexico.
