ABOUT PRITHVIRAJ CHAVAN

Indian politician who became the Chief Minister of Maharashtra in 2010 and has been a member of the Indian National Congress party.

He graduated in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.

He served as the Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office.

He married in 2013 and has a daughter, Ankita and a son, Jai.

He was chosen by Sonia Gandhi to be Chief Minister in 2010.
