Philip Perlman

ABOUT PHILIP PERLMAN

American politician who was the Secretary of State of Maryland from 1920 to 1923 and a Solicitor General from 1947-1952.

He graduated from Baltimore City College in 1908 and worked as a reporter for the Baltimore American.

He was the first Jewish U.S. Solicitor General under President Harry S. Truman.

He was the son of Benjamin and Rose Nathan Perlman.

He worked in politic at the same time Harry S. Truman was president.
