ABOUT PHILIP HOWARD
Musician known for his mastery of Morton Feldman and Iannis Xenakis' compositions.
He co-won the first BBC Young Musician of the Year Lloyds Bank Composer Award in 1992.
He became the first Brit in 35 years to win the International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition in 2003.
His family was residing in England when he was born and continued to raise him there during his formative years.
He recorded Chopin's "Raindrop" Prelude for 2012's "Prometheus," directed by Ridley Scott .
