He earned an associate's degree in dietetics from Madison Area Technical College in 2010.

He worked as a personal trainer and owned the fitness business Worth Personal Training before making his reality debut.

A native of Wisconsin, he has one brother. He also has a niece and nephew. In 2024, he began dating Hana Ostapchuk. The couple were engaged in July 2025.

One of his fellow Bachelorette competitors was Bryan Abasolo .
