ABOUT PETE RODRIGUEZ
Football coach who has coached special teams in the NFL for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins, and several other teams. He also coached for college football and served as head coach at Western Illinois from 1979 until 1982.
He graduated from Western State College in Colorado.
He was initially a defensive line coach and defensive coordinator before shifting to special teams.
He grew up in Chicago, Illinois. He died in San Diego, California following complications from surgery.
Pete Carroll hired him as a special consultant for USC kickers.
