Lead guitarist and founding member of the Climax Blues Band who went on to score movies like K2 and Drop Zone.
At school he tried to join the recorder class but his teacher told him he would not be able to keep up.
He performed the famous Thunderbird theme music for the film Thelma & Louise.
He grew up around Stafford in Staffordshire, England.
He did the soundtracks for several Hans Zimmer films.
