Five-time All-Star who played first base, third base and outfield and was named 1981 World Series MVP after leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to victory.

He was a highly successful minor league player, making All-Star teams as both a first baseman and third baseman.

He hit 15 home runs in June, 1985, tying a major league record for most home runs in a single month.

He married Denise Guerrero in 1985.

He was a teammate of catcher Mike Scioscia on the Dodgers.
