ABOUT PATRICIA MCCORMICK

American author who was a two-time finalist for the National Book Award in 2006 and 2012 for her books Sold and Never Fall Down, respectively.

She graduated from Rosemont College and earned an MS from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 1985-1986.

Her book, Cut was named one of the 2002 ALA Best Books for Young Adults.

She grew up with her family in Pennsylvania,
