ABOUT PABLO PUENTE BUCES
Spanish religious leader who was known as a prelate of the Catholic Church. He worked in the diplomatic service of the Holy See from 1962 to 2004.
He attended Comillas Pontifical University. On April 2, 1956, he was ordained a priest. He also received a Doctorate in Canon Law from the Pontifical Gregorian University.
In 1980, he became an archbishop and held the title of Apostolic Nuncio to several countries including Senegal, Lebanon and Kuwait.
He was born in Colindres, Cantabria, Spain.
Pope John Paul II appointed him archbishop of Macri and Apostolic Pro-Nuncio to Indonesia on March 18, 1980.
