ABOUT ONYA NURVE

Stage name for drag performer Justin Woody. She is known for starring in season 17 of RuPaul's Drag Race . She has gained over 180,000 followers to her onyanurve Instagram account where she shares modeling photos and videos of her performing.

She earned her bachelor's degree in painting from Cleveland Institute of Art. She began performing drag in her hometown of Cleveland in 2021. She worked as a cook at Doinks Burger Joint before being cast in RuPaul's Drag Race .

In 2023, she was named Cleveland's Best Drag Performer in Cleveland Scene magazine. In 2022, she was crowned Mx. Zephyr in the Zephyr Drag Takeover competition.

She was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. Her brother gave her the idea for her drag name.

In a February 2025 Instagram reel, she shared a video of herself modeling and utilized a track by Bell Biv DeVoe .
