ABOUT OLIVER GLASNER
Former club defender who played soccer professionally for 12 years before eventually retiring in 2004. During his professional career, he primarily played in leagues across the country of Austria. He later began his professional coaching career in 2014 with SV Ried.
He initially began his club soccer career playing for SV Ried back in 1992. He was just 18 years old at the time.
While playing with SV Ried, he helped his club win the 1997-98 Austrian Cup after defeating SK Sturm Graz by a score of 3-1. He played in exactly 519 club matches during his professional playing career.
He grew up living with his family in Schärding, Austria. He now lives along with his wife, Bettina, and their three children.
He primarily played the position of defender during his professional career just like David Luiz and Jerome Boateng .
