ABOUT NORMAN ROBERT FOSTER
English architect known for his work within the high-tech architecture movement. In 1967, he founded Foster + Partners, which grew to be the largest architectural practice in the United Kingdom. His architectural designs include the HSBC Main Building in Hong Kong, The Bund Finance Center in Shanghai, and 30 St Mary Axe in London.
He studied architecture at the University of Manchester and Yale University .
In 2007, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat awarded him the Lynn S. Beedle Lifetime Achievement Award. He shares moments in his life as an architect on his officialnormanfoster Instagram account, which has amassed over 700,000 followers.
His parents are Robert and Lilian Foster. He married Spanish art curator Elena Ochoa in 1996.
He and Richard Rogers set up the architectural firm Team 4 in 1963.
