ABOUT NORMAN BLUHM
Abstract expressionist and action painter known for such works as "Untitled" from 1984.
He served in World War II and later studied at the Academia de Belle Arte in Italy and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in France.
His work was given a major exhibition in 2007 by the Station Museum of Contemporary Art in Houston, Texas.
He had two children with his wife Carolyn Ogle.
He collaborated with author Frank O'Hara on a series of poems and paintings.
