Japanese photographer who became known as one of the most productive artists ever.

He studied photography in college and worked briefly in advertising.

By 2005, he had published over 350 books of his photographs.

He married Yoko Araki though she died in 1990.

Araki photographed Bjork , who is one of his most famous fans.
