He formed the rap group Jarvis with his brother Pusha T in 2000.
He made a guest appearance in Kelis' song Daddy in 2001. In August 2017, he released his second studio album, Let the Dead Bury the Dead.
He was raised with his family in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Pharrell Williams worked with him in his early years and helped get him a recording contract with Elektra Records.
