Nene Macdonald

ABOUT NENE MACDONALD

Rugby league wing and centre who has risen to fame in the Australian National Rugby League, including for St George Illawarra between 2017-2018. He has also earned caps for Papua New Guinea's national rugby league squad, including at the 2013 World Cup.

He played for the Australian Schoolboys rugby club before joining the Sydney Roosters in 2012. He was named to the 2014 NYC Team of the Year at wing.

He represented Papua New Guinea at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. He previously was named an alternate to the World All-Stars squad in 2015.

While born in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, he moved with his family to Queensland, Australia at a young age.

He and Tariq Sims have played as teammates for the St. George Illawarra Dragons.
