Guitarist for the rock band Journey who is the only member of the group to have been on every album. He has also pursued a successful solo career.

He dropped out of school at age fifteen to work with Carlos Santana .

The soul singing of Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight influenced his sound.

He has five children from three marriages named Miles, Lizzy, Sarah, Aja, and Sophia.

Eric Clapton invited him to join his band, but Schon went with Santana.
