ABOUT NATHAN GIBBS

Lock and second-row who played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs from 1978 to 1983 and played for the Parramatta Eels in 1984.

He played junior rugby for South Sydney while in school.

He retired from rugby at 24 years of age to pursue a career as a medical doctor.

He grew up in New South Wales, Australia.

He and Sir Edmund Barton were both graduates of the University of Sydney.
